    Christina,
I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m contemplating going active (12 yrs in Army Guard) & Landstuhl is one of the duty stations I could end up (I?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢m currently a resident physician).
Why wife is not thrilled about the prospect but is adventurous & has always wanted to spend time in Europe; we don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t have any kids (yet) but have 2 dogs.
Any experience in the ?¢‚Ǩ?ìraising a family?¢‚Ǩ¬ù department? Is it possible to bring pets?
What?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s life like compared to where you came from? feel free to email me (jpeaton@dmu.edu). Thanks! Joe

  • Hi Christina. We just found out this week tht we'll be moving to the Landstuhl area this July. I have so many questions that my head is spinning! LOL How are you liking the area....in every aspect?...the weather the people outside of the base...shopping...etc... Is there anyplaces to avoid living in if we don't get base housing?... Who do you use for cable/satelite services? I've seen the AFN network online and although they have some American shows it seems so limited and some of them play at the most inconvienent times. Is there any kind of DVR or Tivo services there? Also who would you recommend for cell service?... I hope I'm not overwhelming you with the Q&A.... Thanks so much in advance! :) Nikki
